Eddy Merckx Corsa Team Faema

This is an extremely pretty frame…

emcf $_57 (1)

This Eddy Merckx Corsa from about 1986 is painted in the famous Team Faema paint scheme of metallic white with metallic red accents. The bike is built with a complete Campagnolo C-Record group that is of early vintage, with Cobalto brakes, stamped logo on the crank arms, fully hooded rear derailleur cage, plain friction shifters (pre-Syncro), and aero brake levers with old-style rubber hoods that can be converted to non-aero style. Besides the stamped logo, the crankset is the early version that is about 2 mm thinner in cross section. Completing the C-Record group are low-flange hubs with skewers, polished aero seatpost, front derailleur, bottom bracket with alloy cups, headset, and aero pedals with Campagnolo straps. Rounding out the build are a Cinelli 1A stem and Cinelli Campione bars, Special Edition Turbo Saddle, a rare Regina hollow pin chain, and a Dura Ace freewheel (one of the best ever made). Genuine Campagnolo cables and housing are used throughout. The cork bar tape is Cinelli.

Condition

USED

Very Light wear and tear from cable rub, heel rub, chain, etc.

This bike is in excellent condition, with no dents or rust issues. The components are all in very good condition: all bearings are smooth and some components are new old stock. The bottoms of the pedals have some scrapes. There are some minor chips in the paint which have been touched-up. All cable ends have been soldered rather than using crimps. This bike was ridden in dry conditions.
