If it was about half the price, we’d buy it.
Quite original 1974 Motobecane “Grand Jubile” touring bicycle. With a slightly more relaxed geometry than Motobecane’s racing frames, these Grand Jubile models were an excellent choice for randonneuring or light touring. Equipped with a Stronglight Model 49D crankset and headset, Weinmann centerpull brakes, Pivo bars and stem, and still sporting the original Huret “Jubilee” derailleurs and down-tube shifters. The saddle is a Brooks, rather than the original Ideale that the bike was originally equipped with. 52 cm seat tube (center to top); 30-1/2″ stand-over height. Chrome is in very good shape, the paint is in overall good condition with the usual scratches and chips as befit a 40 year old bicycle. One pea-sized depression on the left side of downtube below the shifter location. New Newbaums bar wrap and red cable housing.
