Raleigh Professional 650B conversion

Interesting bike—looks like a ‘cost no object’ type of build. We’d do a couple things differently, but otherwise, it’s not too far off from ideal.

The platform of the build is a beautiful 1974 Raleigh Professional frame. Nirvex lugs, Campagnolo drop outs and Reynolds 531 steel tubing make it a really special frame. Braze-ons were added for fender mounts as well as front rack mounts. Originally designed for a 700C wheelset, we have equipped the City Randonneur with 650B hand-built wheels to accommodate 42cm tires and a sleek set of Gilles Berthoud fenders. Also comes equipped with Walnut Studiolo leather gear: Seat barrel bag, frame handle and six pack carrier.
