We like this townie setup (reminds us of Sheldon Brown’s Competition “Superbe”), although that rear fender looks like it needs some help.
Raleigh Competition Road bike – $650 (Downers Grove, Ill 60516)
This listing is for a 1977 Raleigh Competition Road Bike. The frame is lugged and has Reynolds 531 tubing, Campagnolo front and rear dropouts and the bottom half of the fork and rear stays are chrome. The frame size is 60cm (24 inches) with a Standover height of 35 inches. The bike is equipped with 700cm wheels with Campagnolo Record large flange hubs and new tires, Campagnolo Record down tube shifters and derailleurs, Campagnolo headset, Campagnolo crankset and bottom bracket, Weinmann quick release sidepull brakes with levers, aluminum seatpost, aluminum pedals, GB stem, rubber grips, aluminum fenders, rear rack and a Brooks leather saddle. The bike is silver with coordinating Raleigh Competition decals and in excellent condition. The bike steers and brakes properly and the wheels are straight and spin freely.
