Interesting frame. Pity the matching fork isn’t included.
For sale is my lovely super rare Reynolds 753 Raleigh Team Castorama frame. From what I can tell this is a genuine team bike, actually made by Cyfac, who made most of the bikes the team actually rode in the tours etc.
It is the original paintwork, there are no dents or damage. It has typical high quality fittings as per the era, including a race tab, chrome Campagnolo dropouts and a Cinelli cast bottom bracket, it also includes a rare internal cable guide. The serial number is clear on one side and says “1 90 706”, on the other – where the rider initials are usually stamped I think it says “VM” but it is really hard to make out, I could also have that upside down! As such I am unsure of the rider. Cyfac say this could also be the builder name. I got this originally from France and the owner confirmed he got it as a team bike. As you would expect for Cyfac, it feels incredibly light and I am sure it would ride like a dream. For the original paintwork it is in reasonable condition. There are a scratches and marks here and there. Overall this will look stunning when built up if used as is, or it could be treated to a paint job at some point in the future. Cyfac repaint them in the original factory for a very reasonable cost, as several people have done on the “retrobike” forum.
