But boy we bet it rides nice.
This is a beautiful pearl white 1990 Raleigh Team Reynolds 753 Technium competition racing road bike. This bike has seen very little use and is in amazing shape for a bike that is 25 years old. It’s in “collector’s” condition… could very well become a museum piece. I deal with vintage steel frame roads bikes on a regular basis and this has got to be one of the nicest bikes I’ve ever had. The details, the quality of the frame and paint finish is unbelievably beautiful – it truly is an one-of-a-kind, handmade work of art. This is an extremely rare bike utilizing the famed Reynolds 753 frame tubing hand-assembled with the the use of Raleigh’s patented “Technium” construction with lightweight alloy lugs. It’s a rock-solid and gorgeous frame. Own a piece of history!
The bike was just professionally tuned-up, lubed, detailed and is 100% ready to ride. Being that this bike has seem such little use, majority of the consumable parts remain original to the bike. All original and NOS condition Dura Ace components throughout (front/rear deraillerurs, brake calipers/levers, shifters, hubs, headset). Sakae FX stem and seat post. The handlebars are very unique and rare Scott Liteflite Drop-in LF Facet. Vittoria Flash 23 clincher tires mounted on Mavic hard anodized wheels (the tires hold air but could use replacing if the bike were to be ridden on a regular basis – the wheels are in MINT shape). Original and very rare perforated Turbo Special saddle with the gold metal trim. The original paint is near flawless and the ultra lightweight steel frame is super solid and rigid. The lugs are perfect. Rides like an old Cadillac, yet stops on a dime and handles like a dream. The frame measures 60cm (from the center of the crank to the top of the seat tube). The top tube measures 56.5 cm (center to center) and 32.75″ from the ground, so it would be perfect for cyclists 5’9″ to 6’4″ in height.
Local pick up is preferred. Otherwise, this bicycle will be professionally packaged and shipped from a bike shop using a brand new box with the entire frame securely wrapped in foam tube. Packaging labor, materials and fees included in the shipping cost. The package will be shipped FedEx Ground insured for the eBay transaction price unless other prior arrangements/additional payment is made. Bicycles need to be partially disassembled to fit in a box for shipping; if you are not mechanically inclined, we highly recommend having a bicycle shop reassemble the bike for you – we cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting from improper assembly. To box a bike we take off the handlebars, pedals, front and rear wheel, seat post, rear derailleur, etc.. Due to packaging/shipping, some bikes may require minor tuning and wheel re-truing at set up. Thanks!
