Readers’ Rides

This is Lawrence in PA’s Jim Redcay road bike and Lynsky ‘cross bike. We’ll let Lawrence describe them thusly:

1973 Jim Redcay, restored and re-sprayed by Tom Kellogg—frame is mostly Super Vitus steel, all the rage at the time. Mr. Redcay built frames for me when I started at as a junior riding only road and scaring the crap out of myself at the Trexlertown velodrome. Bike has mostly NOS Super Record and Clement silk tubulars. The curve of the fork blades still gives me goosebumps—such craftsmanship.

Lynsky cyclocross frame, Winwood carbon fork, Campagnolo 10 speed Record mostly, Ciamillo cantilevers (NOS Super Record ti pedals and aluminum toe clips just for the hell of it) and silly carbon tubular wheels.

Lawrence, thanks for sharing!
