If it sells at the current asking price, then this Bridgestone will have held its value remarkably well (the period advertisement provided by the seller lists a price of “around $640” which, when adjusted for inflation, comes out to $1,025 in today’s dollars).
I purchased this bicycle new in 1994 from my best friends bike shop in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was a gift for my father-in-law so we swapped the drop bars for a set of Moustache bars from an XO-1 to create a more comfortable upright riding position. The only other parts that are not original from that day would be the Brooks Professional saddle, stem, and pedals. This 20 year old Bridgestone has less than 1000 miles on it and has been hanging in a climate controlled garage in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Other than the 6 or 8 minor scratches on the top tube it is almost perfect.

NJS – Red Bridgestone Anchor 52cm Track frameset – $700 (Brooklyn)
I am letting go my personal NJS Bridgestone Anchor in red and gold letters. I purchased it new and used it for casual biking.
Bottom bracket – Hatta R9400 (value $90)
Headset – Hatta Swan Super Deluxe (value $90)
Nitto 90mm quill stem and Nitto Riser
Selle Italia C2 Carbon / Thomson Elite
Front clamp on brakes (value $70) No drill hole on the fork.
All components were purchased new and used for casual riding. But I have to sell the bike because I am upgrading to a road bike. H+SON wheelset, Sugino 75 crankset, Profile design bottle cages are NOT included.
There are a few scratches but minor because I put the bike in and out of my car. The clearcoat looks new.
Looks like a time capsule.
Bridgestone RB-2 — minty 20-year-old road bike, 59 cm – $475 (Chelsea)
You’re unlikely to find one in better shape. It’s been ridden, but not much at all. Still has original stickers from Jamie Swan’s Centerport Cycles. Original everything, except for new Hutchinson Armadillo technology tires. (I will swap the pictured pedals for the originals.) Sadly, the bike’s just too big for me, and it seems a shame to start altering it to fit.
