IMG_3965 copy

We feel extraordinarily privileged and delighted to present to you the iconic Cinelli Laser in “America” specification with Columbus AIR aerodynamic tubing (noting that various tube sets were used during the Laser’s production run, including SLX and MAX). Ours is serial number 075.

Pipe dream of the day: wall art edition

Almost a shame it was never ridden (purportedly). One wonders if that is what Antonio Colombo would have wanted.

Sellers are asking silly money for these bikes, naturally.

This bike was purchased in 1985 from Conrad’s on the Upper East Side of NYC. Single owner. He purchased this bike and hung it on his wall for 30 years, never rode it. It is in mint condition. Even the original Wolber Neo Pro tires are in excellent condition and hold air, the sidewalls are dry.

This is an amazingly rare bike. With some research I believe it was in the bike show in NYC for Cinelli. Conrad’s probably took it for sale and the original owner who purchased it in 1985 and has kept in on his wall for 30 years gave it for us to sell.

The decal on the Roval hubs is just peeling a little bit.

1985 Cinelli Laser Crono Strada

Grail bike. Looks like the complete bike is on offer, although it has already been disassembled.

In a twist, this one is already located in the United States, not in Europe (or Japan, for that matter).

This is an original Cinelli Laser Crono Strada … One of the most sought after bikes in the world. It is the 24th frame made by the Cinelli Factory as evidenced by “S24” stamped on the bottom bracket.
Please see pictures for details and condition of frame and all components. More pictures available here: http://s284.photobucket.com/user/Welshead/library/?sort=2&page=1
Specifications below to the best of my knowledge. All parts are original to bike except where noted.

I acquired this bike in 1990 as the second owner … I raced it twice and it has been in the attic ever since. I had considered having the frame professionally restored (painted w/ new original decals) and have quotes from a couple of the top bicycle restoration shops in the country, but then decided it may be more desirable in current condition (given it’s rarity) or sold for new owner to have restored under their control.
Bike will be professionally packaged with each component individually wrapped, insured and shipped.
Feel free to ask any questions … I will respond promptly.
Thank you!
